It's that time of year again...
Time to sign your kids up for Fall Rec. Soccer! We hope to start the league the last week of September and have a 6 week season. Specifics will follow. The website to sign the kids up is bluesombrero.com/gilescountysoccer
Soccer sign ups will continue until Labor Day. Please, please sign up by that day so we can set our teams up and get the games started as early as possible.
Volunteering: We are in desperate need of coaches. If you have ANY idea of what is going on in soccer, please consider coaching. At this level we don't need professional level coaching, just someone who can get the kids going the right direction and teach some basic skills. There are some great books out there to give you ideas for drills and how to run a practice. One other thing to keep in mind: If you are the coach, you get to decide the time and location for practice (s). Please consider giving a little time to help our league continue. Other volunteer opportunities will present themselves as we get closer to the start of the season.

4-H Youth Development Programs - Read More
Charles Lytton is the 4-H, Youth Development Agent for Giles County. In Giles County, there are three Elementary Schools and two High Schools. Charles does “in school” programming in all Giles County Schools. He presents teacher workshops on a variety of topics. Summer Programs and Camps Summer 4-H Camp is held at the W.E. Skelton 4-H Educational Conference Center in Wirtz, Va. Giles County joins Craig, Floyd and Montgomery counties for a week of fun at the camp.
The Narrows Little League
The Narrows Little League is the only ornganization in our division who prides itself on not charging any child, with the will to participate, a fee for playing football or cheerleading. We are 100% funded by donations and fund raising activities.
Our ultimate goal is to restore spirit and pride to our atheletic programs, instilling in our children a sense of self worth and community.
